This Privacy Policy explains how AgriEdgeAI (“we”, “our”, or “us”)
collects, uses, and protects information when you use the MangoEdgeAI and
DroneEdgeAI mobile applications (collectively, “the Apps”).
By using the Apps, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Who We Are
AgriEdgeAI is an agricultural intelligence platform developed for mango farmers and greenhouse operators,
operated by Prajas Labs Private Limited, a company registered in India.

2. Information We Collect
AInformation You Provide
- Account credentials — username and password (stored as a hashed JWT token; never stored in plain text).
- Farm profile — farm name, location (village/district), crop type, soil pH, planting date, variety names.
- Sensor readings — temperature, humidity, soil moisture, NPK values, rainfall you enter manually.
- Harvest logs — yield records, fruit weight, pest observations you record.
- Photos — fruit or leaf images uploaded for disease/pest AI analysis or Brix estimation. Photos are processed on our secure server and are not shared with any third party.
- WhatsApp number — only if you opt in to WhatsApp advisory notifications.
BInformation Collected Automatically
- Device information — device model, OS version, app version (for crash diagnostics).
- Usage data — which screens you visit, API calls made (anonymised, no personal identifiers).
- Location (DroneEdgeAI only) — GPS coordinates used to calculate solar elevation, wind safety, and to geo-tag drone mission waypoints. Location data is stored only during an active mission and is not used for advertising.
CInformation We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect contacts, call logs, SMS messages, or payment card details.
- We do not use advertising SDKs or sell data to advertisers.
- We do not use facial recognition or biometric data.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To generate AI-powered fertiliser, irrigation, and pest management recommendations.
- To display real-time climate alerts and disease risk warnings.
- To store your farm records and enable yield forecasting.
- To send WhatsApp advisory messages (only if you opted in).
- To improve model accuracy — anonymised aggregated data only; never identifiable.
- To ensure app security and diagnose crashes.
We process your data under the lawful basis of contract performance (providing the service you signed up for) and legitimate interest (improving agricultural AI models).
4. Data Storage and Security
- All data is stored on Railway PostgreSQL servers hosted in the EU/US (Railway.app infrastructure).
- All data in transit is encrypted with TLS 1.2+.
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt; we never store plaintext passwords.
- JWT authentication tokens expire after 24 hours.
- Farm photos uploaded for AI analysis are not retained beyond the analysis session (deleted within 24 hours).
5. Sharing of Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with:
- Railway.app — cloud hosting provider (data processor). Railway Privacy Policy.
- Twilio / Meta WhatsApp — only if you opt in to WhatsApp notifications; only your phone number and advisory message text are transmitted.
- Law enforcement — only if required by applicable law.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of your personal data.
- Rectification — correct inaccurate farm or profile data.
- Erasure — request deletion of your account and all associated data.
- Withdraw consent — opt out of WhatsApp notifications at any time by messaging “STOP”.
- Data portability — request your farm records in CSV format.

7. Children’s Privacy
The Apps are intended for farmers and agricultural professionals aged 18 and over.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us
with personal data, contact us immediately and we will delete it.
8. Third-Party Services
- Open-Meteo — weather forecast API (no personal data sent; only GPS coordinates for weather lookup).
- Meta WhatsApp Cloud API — outbound advisory messages (opt-in only).
- Expo / React Native — app framework (no data shared).

10. Retention
- Farm sensor and climate records are retained for 3 years to enable multi-season yield analysis.
- Account data is deleted within 30 days of an account deletion request.
- Uploaded photos used for AI analysis are deleted within 24 hours.
- Drone mission GPS logs are retained for 90 days, then anonymised.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the
“Last Updated” date above. Continued use of the Apps after changes
constitutes acceptance. For significant changes, we will send an in-app notification.
